The administration of provisions of the Zoning bylaw includes Development permits, Discretionary use applications, and Zoning amendments. The department also provides for planning of infrastructure improvement projects for the Town of Warman including street improvements, storm water and utility system improvements. The planning department is responsible for the management of all residential, commercial and industrial development within the Town limits. Current mapping is also provided by the department.
Development Plan and Zoning Bylaw
The planning department reviews subdivision applications and development permit applications to ensure compliance with the Town’s Development Plan and Zoning Bylaw.
The Development Plan is intended to guide Council in future development decisions for the health, safety, and general welfare of the community. As a guiding document, the Development Plan assists in prioritizing actions and decision regarding growth and development, and helps improve and protect the quality of life of all residents of the Town of Warman.
The Zoning Bylaw sets out regulations regarding the uses of land, sizing and location of buildings, parking requirements, and signage requirements. The zoning bylaw also incorporates a zoning map which highlights all residential, commercial, industrial and community service lands within the Town.

Subdivision
Please contact the Warman Planning department regarding subdivision inquiries. Also, Government Relations, an agency with the Province of Saskatchewan, in the approving authority for subdivisions. Contact their office for more information.
Building and Development Permits
The Town of Warman works in partnership with Municode Services to ensure that all new development meet construction requirement as set out in the National Building Code of Canada. Building inspection services are provided Municode Services during construction.

Permit forms are available online. Ensure that forms are complete and all the requested information is provided.
